Permitting Process Overview
The City’s permitting process is designed to ensure that all construction and development projects meet local codes, safety standards, and community guidelines. Before beginning any work, residents and contractors are required to submit a permit application along with detailed project plans and supporting documentation.
Once submitted, applications are reviewed by the appropriate departments to verify compliance with zoning regulations, building codes, and other applicable requirements. Depending on the scope of the project, additional approvals or inspections may be required.
Applicants will be notified if revisions are needed or when the permit is approved and ready for issuance. Work may begin only after the permit has been issued. Throughout the project, scheduled inspections help ensure that work is completed safely and in accordance with approved plans.
To get started, you may choose the appropriate permit application below. Once completed, please send your application with a copy of your contractor's license, I.D. and Certificate of Liability to citysecretary@ci.blooming-grove.tx.us. All permit and inspection fees must be paid up front. Please contact the City Secretary at the above email address or call 903-695-2711 to obtain the correct fee amount or for any questions regarding the permitting process.
